POLICIES

 

1. Adoption Policy 

 

     a. Applications must be filled out completely or will not be processed.

     b. A Home Evaluation and Veterinarian Reference are required to ensure the safety of the                     animal.

     c. All pets MUST be spayed/neutered in your care before an application can be approved                       (unless the pet does not meet age requirement).

     d. All pets in the home must be current on vaccinations and currently on heartworm preventative.

     e. The league does not place dogs in homes to be kept outdoors.

2. Courtesy Post Policy

​

     a. The posting of any animals that are not current on vaccinations, spayed/neutered, and have               been treated for all ailments goes against the Atlanta Animal League Mission and will not be             allowed on any platforms associated with our rescue.

 

3. Foster policy

​

     a. Foster applications must be filled out completely, can be completed during home assessment. 

     b. Foster must have home assessment and be available for routine follow ups such as but not               limited to vet appointments, phone calls and adoption events. Attendance is required by all                dogs and proper notification required if dog will need to be transferred by another volunteer. 

     c. One week notice requested for supplies needed by fosters. 

     d. Atlanta Animal League all supplies needed for dogs placed by our Rescue.

Fees 

​

An adoption of $100 is required (unless specified otherwise) this covers 

     - Rabies 

     - Shots 

     - Spay/Neuter

     - Heartworm treatment if needed upon intake
